The 'SERIES' collection

"reborn from the original fabric and beautifully crafted ready to serve another lifetime of use"

We take a look at the new F/W14 'Series' collection by Atelier de l’Armée.

Made for the true outdoorsman, the adventure seeker, the cyclist and those who like to travel in style. Much of this collection uses water repellent military canvasses and dead stock cordura fabrics meaning it's well positioned for our unpredictable weather changes. This seasons collection differs from the 'Collectors' only by small factory manufacturing. Still produced in the Netherlands, quality craftsmanship and conscious design continues to prevail.

What sets Atlelier de l'Armee apart from the rest? For a start every bag is given a second life, reborn from the original fabric and beautifully crafted ready to serve another lifetime of use. A deep love of durable materials and timeless design means they are constantly on the search for beautiful items which can be used in their creations. These handcrafted bags are made in a small workshop in Amsterdam where they are given the attention to detail they deserve. Inspired by the functionality and durability of vintage workwear and military clothing, the city has the perfect mentality and environment for the business to thrive.

Leather goods are made out of limited batches of deadstock leathers, heritage clothing is a carefully selected mix of rare handpicked second hand items. All collectable in their own right they are individually numbered and come with a handwritten hangtag showing each parts provenance.

Behind the brand are partners Joost Doeswijk and Elza Wandler. Both share a mutual background in fashion, studying at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI) Joost later worked for brand Scotch & Soda and G star, Elza for Levis Made and Crafted. They have translated their skills, strong philosophy and personal taste perfectly into the brand. Their collections not only represent their identity but also a concept to live ones life by.

The Atelier de l’Armée ‘Collectors’ collection consists of one of a kind handcrafted items mainly built out of a zero waste philosophy, created by mixing high quality dead stock or repurposed materials.

All of the trims for this series collections are developed and produced by APxpress including metal from our 'Eco 100' range. At APxpress we take pride in working with customers who take a responsible attitude to their product.
